Custom ITPP Template

The hardest part of complying with the Red Flags Rule is writing the required Identity Theft Prevention Program. Just fill out our online RFR Template Request Workbook and within two weeks, AFIP will email you an ITPP template customized for your dealership. Simply read the template to ensure it covers all aspects of your dealership’s Red Flags compliance needs, edit if necessary, submit to your corporate counsel and board of directors for written approval, and implement it!

Red Flags Rule Orientation Session

Your DealerAide program comes with a one-hour personnel orientation session that gives all affected personnel (anyone listed in your ITPP) an overview of their responsibilities under the Red Flags Rule. Choose from any of our regularly scheduled orientation sessions – the instructions for signing up are conveniently located on our event calendar! (Limit one phone line calling in per dealership. Additional lines can be purchased for a nominal fee. No limit on the number of individuals who attend on your line. See calendar or email notification for details.)

Red Flags Rule F&I DeskCheck

Each F&I manager can use the F&I DeskCheck reference to ensure they complete every required verification on each deal. DeskCheck references are light blue and heavily laminated to ensure they’re always easy to find. Order additional DeskCheck references for each additional F&I manager. F&I Manager Resources CD

This CD includes resources for use by the F&I Managers, who collect and verify information. The CD includes templates to reprint F&I DeskCheck stickers and credit bureau address labels (so there’s no need to reorder from AFIP), an interactive PDF to report address discrepancies to the proper credit bureau with complete instructions, facts about identity theft, and instructions for removing a security freeze. Order additional CDs for all F&I managers or save the files on each F&I manager’s computer.

F&I DeskCheck Stickers

F&I DeskCheck stickers take the place of additional paperwork. Simply place a sticker on the relevant document and sign and date to affirm the check was completed and that all red flags have been clarified. Three sheets are included to get you started, and a template for printing your own is included on F&I Manager Resources CD or can be downloaded in the Resources section of this site.

Identity Theft Prevention Sign

Warn identity thieves that your dealership isn’t the place to steal a car with the Red Flags Rule Identity Theft Prevention Sign (one included with the order). The sign also functions to alert customers to your committment to protect their identity – and gives F&I managers a visual prop to explain to customers why they’re being asked to provide detailed information.
